The Siswoyo Family
SISWOYO was one of the dominant females, and the mother of
four: Siswi, Simon, Sugarjito, and a baby that died soon after birth,
a birth that, because of complications, also resulted in Siswoyo's
death.

1991
SISWI, born in 1978, has the distinction of being the first to be
born to a Camp Leakey ex-captive. She is one of the more well-known
Tanjung Puting orangutans. Sadly, her firstborn, Suzi,
did not live through her first year.

SAMPSON was born in 1993. Later in that year, he received an injury that blinded his right eye. However, that did not stop him from developing normally.
